For several years, Camille Brès has been developing a pictorial practice deeply rooted in the observation of landscapes and their subtle variations.
With this monumental composition, she retranscribes the sensation of an alpine journey: steep paths, silent reliefs, cold light and open horizons compose an immersive, almost contemplative scene.
Initially hand-painted, the work reveals the richness of her touch: superimposed strokes, material vibrations, and chromatic nuances give the landscape a vibrant and atmospheric presence.
Between sensitive realism and an inner interpretation of the territory, the mountain here becomes an emotional space as much as a real place.
Around the main scene, several independent fragments—skies, moons, peaks, or plant elements—can be freely arranged in the space to extend the landscape and create an evolving wall composition.
Conceived as a work to be composed, this scene can cover an entire wall or spread in touches across different parts of the room, like fragments of a travel memory or a dreamed landscape.
An immersive and soothing work, where painting becomes a true experience of breathing and escape.
